Dirt Herd is an app published by MuddSlingers Repair LLC ("we," "us"), based in Billings, Montana. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what we do with it.

Your account

To sign in, you give us your email address. We use it to sign you in and to contact you about your account. We don't send marketing email unless you ask for it.

Your profile

Your profile can include a display name, your machine, your general riding area, and your skill level. Other Dirt Herd riders can see your profile so they can find rides and riders that fit.

Location during rides

Live group tracking is off unless you turn it on for a ride. When it's on, your location is shared only with the people in that ride, it can only start shortly before the ride, and it stops on its own when the ride is over (or after 8 hours). You can turn it off at any time. We plan to delete live ride locations after the ride ends. [TO CONFIRM before launch: automatic cleanup is not switched on yet.] Meetup pins that a ride host places are visible to riders viewing that ride.

If you use Premium ride history, the rides you've been on are saved to your account so you can look back at them.

Messages

Ride group chats are visible to members of that ride. Direct messages are visible to you and the rider you're messaging. We store messages so the app can show them to you.

The free version shows a banner ad at the top of the screen. [TO CONFIRM: what, if any, data the ad provider receives.]

We don't sell your data

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the app (for example, our database and sign-in provider, and our maps provider), and only for that purpose, or when the law requires it.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account and the information tied to it by emailing [email protected].

Kids

Dirt Herd isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
